Pricing FAQ
Questions I get asked before scoping.
Why fixed-price and not hourly?
Hourly billing punishes efficiency. Fixed-price aligns incentives — you know the total before I start, and I am rewarded for shipping cleanly, not for grinding hours.
What if the scope changes mid-sprint?
I quote the scope change before starting it. You either approve the extra work at the new fixed price, or park it for a follow-up sprint. Either way, nothing sneaks onto the invoice.
Is GST included?
Prices shown include GST on the Website tier (A$1,750 inc GST). Web App and Agentic Build tier prices are quoted inclusive of GST at scoping time — the number in the proposal is the number on the invoice.
Can I start with a sprint and upgrade later?
Yes. Many projects start with a Web App sprint and graduate to Agentic Build once the core workflow is proven. Sprint work is always designed to be extensible.
Do you take equity, revenue share, or milestone payments?
Fixed-price cash only, paid 50% at kick-off and 50% at handoff. Equity deals take longer to scope than the build is worth.
What counts as an add-on?
Anything outside the tier's line items in the feature ledger above. Payments on Web App tier, custom integrations, and anything agent-specific on a non-Agentic-Build tier are quoted as add-ons at scoping time.
Verdict · audited 2026-04-20 · 10 criteria
Pick the tier that matches the scope.
Three tiers, three verdicts — each one named by use case rather than by winner. Pricing ledgers do not declare a champion; they help the reader pick a fit.
Tier 01 verdict
Pick Website if you need a marketing site shipped in two weeks.
Best for a marketing site, a portfolio, or a landing page — up to five pages, responsive, SEO-ready. Skip this tier if you need auth, a database, or any backend beyond a contact form.
Tier 02 verdict
Pick Web App for tools, portals, and dashboards.
Best for internal tools, client portals, and small apps with database and auth. Skip this tier if you need agent orchestration, or if the whole point of the project is a single static landing page.
Tier 03 verdict
Pick Agentic Build when you need agents in production.
Best for multi-agent systems, AI integrations inside an existing app, and automation replacing a repeat human workflow. Skip this tier if a single prompt or a single API call would have done the job.
